Female Great Britain Bobsledders Pants Split
Ok, it’s bad enough when you are hanging out with some friends, and your pants split open when you bend over. However nothing compares to what happens to this female bobsledder on TV. While bending over to get ready and push her teammate, her pants split wide open. Check it out. It happens at 41 seconds into this video.
Looks like she will need a size larger next time.

Philadelphia 76ers New logo
Well, if any of you didn’t know I am a huge Philadelphia sports fan. The 76ers included. This afternoon it was announced that the Philadelphia Pro basketball team, the 76ers have a new logo. When They showed me the logo, I thought to myself, “This isn’t new.” I was right Have a look.

The logo is actually going back in 76ers history. This is the logo which was last used just when Allen Iverson was breaking into the league in 1996-1997. It incorporates the red white and blue like usual, and is probably one of the more recognizable Philadelphia sports logos.
“By bringing back this old Sixers’ logo, we are connecting the past with the future,” said Ed Snider, chairman of Comcast-Spectacor, which owns the Sixers. “This logo evokes memories of some of the franchise’s proudest moments.”
My Personal opinion on the 76ers Logo
Being a fan, I have to say I am happy to see the return of this logo which was used during both the sSxers championship seasons of 1966-67 and 1982-83. Maybe it will bring them luck. The style of the logo I think is more in tune with the old NBA, but I’m a guy who loves the old NBA of Afros, 3 pointers, and just pure fun in the sport of basketball.

Jim McKay Dead at 86
It saddens me to announce that Sports broadcast legend Jim McKay has passed away this morning at the age of 86. McKay is the television sportscaster who told the world that a hostage situation at the 1972 Olympics in Munich had turned into a massacre of the Israeli team, a tragedy that anyone who was older then 8 years old at the time would remember hearing.

Jim was the host for 37 long years of ABC’s Wide World of Sports, from 1961 when it first aired until 1997 when it went off the air. In his career he traveled an amazing 4,500,000 miles in order to cover 100 sporting events in over 40 countries worldwide. Jim McKay was also the first sportscaster to win an Emmy award, and amazingly went on to win 12 more for a total of 13 Emmy’s. He passed away in Monkton, Maryland after a battle with a lengthy illness.

Mike Lieberthal Retires
Long time Philadelphia Phillies Catcher Mike Lieberthal has announced his retirement from major league baseball. Lieberthal had played for the Phillies from 1994-2006, and the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2007. He signed a 1 day minor league contract with the Phillies for the sake of retiring with the team that drafted him back in 1990.
Lieberthal is the first Phillies player to signa 1 day contract in order to retire with the team since Doug Glanville did it in 2005. Lieberthal, known as Lieby to his teammates was an awesome leader in the clubhouse.
I remember back in 1996 I actually got to chat with Lieberthal online, and he told me to send some baseball cards to his fathers house in Los Angeles. When he went to play the Dodger in L.A. he would sign the cards for me and send them back. I couldn’t believe he’d actually do it, but he really did to my amazement.

Here’s to an awesome baseball player and great man!
