The Oprah Boycott

Category: Uncategorizedadmin @ 1:24 pm

I’m not a big fan of the Oprah show. Why? Likely because I’m a younger aged male who doesn’t have the time to hear Oprah talk mainly about things that are targeted towards middle aged women primarily. Despite that I’m not a Fan, I still do respect the woman, and think she has helped America in quite an influential way. This is why when I heard about a possible Oprah Boycott I was somewhat peed off.

Republican Vice presidential candidate, Governor Sarah Palin was rejected by Oprah an appearance on her show. This has caused quite a stir throughout the female community. The Florida Federation of Republican Women Calls Freedom of Speech into Question because of Oprahs Palin rejection. Frankly I thnik these people need to get a life. Freedom of speech is what allows Oprah to discuss what she wants, and who she wants, not vice versa. These people think they should be running the Oprah show. If they are so upset why don’t they try creating their own television talk show? Ah let me guess…. They don’t have the abilities that Ms. Winfrey does. What do I have to say about that? Tough luck. Oprah has been an American fixture for decades now. She earned the right to talk to whoever the heck she wants. If you girls want to boycott the show, go for it. A boycott will make a fingernail sized dent in her media giant of a show.

Oprah’s response to the boycott fiasco is:
“At the beginning of this campaign, when I decided I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates.”

For your information Oprah is a supporter of Obama, yet he has not been on her show, nor has Joe Biden since Obama announced he was running for president back in 2007. If the republican party wants to become a dictatorship, telling us who should and should not be allowed to be interviewed on the Oprah show, then I know who I will be voting for. Let’s boycott the boycotters!

McCain’s Vice President Sarah Palin

Category: Uncategorizedadmin @ 8:30 am

We have unconfirmed reports just coming in this morning that John McCain will choose Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin to fill the opened Vice President spot on his ticket for 2008. Fox News this morning reported that Sarah Palin and her family were rushed onto a Gulf stream Jet in Anchorage Alaska, which has a destination, of you guessed it….. Dayton Ohio, where John McCain plans on making his Vice President announcement later today.

The Choice of Governor Palin could really help McCain, some experts feel. The die hard Hillary Clinton supporters who are lookign for the first female President in Hillary, may just settle for changing their party and voting for McCain. It is said that McCain will probably only be a 1 term, 4 year, President, which means as long as he does a fairly good job, his Vice President will have a fairly good shot at the nomination in 4 years. Sarah Palin could be the person.
Sarak Palin mccains vp

As Governor of Akaska Sarah has been extremely popular. She won the 2006 Republican primaries by 21% over her opponents, and won the Governors position by 8% in 2006. Governor Sarah Palin is only 44 years old, and graduated from the University of Idaho in Journalism. A poll published by Hays Research Inc in July of this year showed that Palin;’s approval rating was an amazing 80%. If this isn’t enough to open your eyes about her popularity in Alaska, then the 90% approval ratings earlier in the year surely will.

Any way you stack this election, it should be a tight race, and one of the most interesting elections the United States has ever seen. An African American vs a 72 Year old man with a 44 Year old VP.
