Amanda Beard & Michael Phelps

Category: Uncategorizedadmin @ 12:12 pm

There have been rumors over the last week, the the American Gold Medal Swimmer and now Playboy Model Amanda Beard is in a romantic relationship with the almost God-like American Swimmer, Michael Phelps. After Breaking Mark Spitz’s Olympic record of 7 gold medals in one Olympic games, by getting 8 Gold Medals, Phelps has been in the spotlight certainly.

Pictured Below, both Swimmers in this Olympic photo, far left:

So, Are Amanda Beard and Michael Phelps a couple? Why don;t we just ask Beard herself, who had some less then flattering remarks about Phelps Yesterday afternoon when questioned about the possibility of a romantic relationship between the two. When Amanda was questioned about the rumored romance in a phone interview with a Tucson radio station she responded, “Eww, that’s nasty!” Beard continued, “Come on, I have really good taste. He’s not really my type. We don’t even talk to each other.”

When Phelps was questions about being involved with Ms. Beard, he responded, “I’m not dating Amanda Beard. I’ll say that. I think she has a boyfriend.” In fact She does have a boyfriend, a photographer who she has been with for quite some time now.

Well I guess we can put the hopes of a genetically superior offspring from two of American;s all time great swimmers being created. One has to wonder what that genetic combination would have produced. Good news though for Michael Phelps….. Carrie Underwood is supposedly interested, and I’m sure just about every girl in America is to some degree.

German Olympic Playboy Photos

Category: Uncategorizedadmin @ 9:12 am

The September 2008 Issue of German Playboy will be graced by the 4 German Olympic athletes listed and displayed in Photos below:

The German Olympians:,

* Petra Niemann, is competing at her third games in sailing.
* Katharina Scholz is an Olympic field hockey competitor, and quite good at the sport.
* Nicole Reinhardt is competing in canoe/kayak and
* Romy Tarangul the German Judo Athlete

The athletes all stated that they are proud to be Olympians as well as proud to have the freedom to flaunt their bodies which they worked hard for for such a famous magazine like Playboy. Reinhardt will even be wearing her Lycra racing suit she wore for all her kayak races. “There’s attention, but it’s good,” she said. “It’s good for us.” Reinhardt rested her kayak paddle against her left shoulder while she spoke. “You’ll have to buy the magazine or surf the Web to find out where she strategically placed it for Playboy.”

The Germans will not be the first Olympic athletes to appear in Playboy. In fact, American Swimmer Amanda Beard graced the pages of the magazine a year ago before the Olympics as a way to promote anti-animal cruelty.

Michael Phelps 100m Butterfly Race

Category: Uncategorizedadmin @ 11:10 pm

In one of the closest and most dramatic races I have ever witnesses in swimming, Michael Phelps, just an hour ago won his 7th Gold medal of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing China. Phelps, in the 100m Butterfly, won the race. Having said this, at first look, everyone in the arena thought Michael Phelps had come in second and won the Silver.

The race was so close, that from a naked eye probably all 100 million people watching the Olympics on NBC thought Phelps had come shy of his 7th Gold metal. Even his mom put up 2 fingers signifying 2nd place. The 100m (Meter) Butterfly is ones of Phelp’s less dominant races, however most expected him to win by more the the 0.01 second he did. Milorad Cavic of Serbia took the silver with a time of 50.59 seconds, just missing the Gold to Phelps who ran the 100m in 50.58 seconds. Phelps’s 7th gold medal made him match Mark Spitz’s record of seven gold medals at a single Olympics.

All I can say is that these Olympic games have been more memorable to me then any Olympics I ever recall. Granted I am only 32 years old, however, between this race, the 200meter really ion which Phelps and company overcame a huge gap in the final 20 meters to win gold, as well as numerous other exciting events, I have been more excited then I was even when I favorite NFL franchise, the Giants won the Superbowl last year!

The Second Brother on the Right

Category: Uncategorizedadmin @ 2:16 pm

Anyone watching the Olympics on Tv today and yesterday have seen the story of the so called Second Brother on the Right. In response to the guys recent appearances on NBC and other television stations worldwide, we have had an overwhelming number of emails asking us just who is the Second Brother on the Right? The man himself has supposedly received dozens of marriage proposals from women, mainly Chinese.

This man, Pictured below is pretty much the Olympic Torch guard who spent weeks to the right of the Olympic torch, protecting it from protesters who were against China and their dismal human rights record. One female fa of the Second Brother claimed “He is so hot and he is the pride of China! What more could a girl want?” Anyway we are still trying to figure out his full name as it doesn’t seem like it is being given at any of the media outlets quite yet. Once we do we will update this post with the full name to go along with the picture below. Feel free to comment on this post if you know the guys name as well.

Jim McKay Dead at 86

Category: Uncategorizedadmin @ 4:12 pm

It saddens me to announce that Sports broadcast legend Jim McKay has passed away this morning at the age of 86. McKay is the television sportscaster who told the world that a hostage situation at the 1972 Olympics in Munich had turned into a massacre of the Israeli team, a tragedy that anyone who was older then 8 years old at the time would remember hearing.

Jim was the host for 37 long years of ABC’s Wide World of Sports, from 1961 when it first aired until 1997 when it went off the air. In his career he traveled an amazing 4,500,000 miles in order to cover 100 sporting events in over 40 countries worldwide. Jim McKay was also the first sportscaster to win an Emmy award, and amazingly went on to win 12 more for a total of 13 Emmy’s. He passed away in Monkton, Maryland after a battle with a lengthy illness.
