It’s not official yet, but there are some really good sources out there right now that are pointing to Conan O’Brien heading to FOX TV.  According to TMZ.com 20th Century Fox are the owners of the newly registered domain name ConanOnFox.com.  I just did a Whois search for the domain name and it appears as though the owners have purchased “Whois Guard” privacy protection for the domain so that we can no longer see who the rightful registers are.  Currently if you visit the website, it simply is redirecting to a Fox Twitter page.  We have not confirmed any of this information, so take it for what you want.

In the last few months we have seen a rise in a new type of website type. What is it? It’s the Entertainment Shopping Site. These sites have hit the internet like a hurricane, spreading like wild fire throughout homes, mostly in the United States and United Kingdom. Never before have I seen a new sales concept take hold like I have with these new types of shopping sites in such a short amount of time.

What is Entertainment Shopping
Entertainment shopping is a term coined probably by the makers of the original site Swoopo. Basically These sites are Auctions which work in an entirely different way then most people are used to. These sites are nothing like ebay except for the fact that the winner walks away with the merchandise. Most of these Entertainment Auction websites have no minimum bid, have bid increments of 1 cent to 25 cents, and charge bidders for each and every bid they make on an item. The other main difference that makes these sorts of sites so appealing is the fact that the auctions usually end for a very small fraction of what other shopping and auction sites would charge. For instance I have seen auctions for 65 inch flat screen TV’s with retail values of $3000+ end in the $30-$40 range.

What Are some of Better Entertainment Auction Sites?
Whether they call themselves, Entertainment shopping, Entertainment auctions, Penny Auctions or Cheap Auctions, they are all the same in the way they work. Below are a few links to sites which work in these way. You may want to try them out if you are in a risky mood, and want the chance to walk away with high ticket items at pennies or even fractions of a penny on the dollar:

- BidFight.com – One of the Up and coming Entertainment shopping sites. Because it has recently launched the competition is less, meaning it is much easier to walk away as a winning bidder.
- Swoopo.com – The original Entertainment Auction site. Very competitive, meaning it is not easy to walk away a winner, but the activity on the site is good.

How can Entertainment Shopping Sites Sell Items So Cheap?
It’s simple. You may initially look at the auction, see that a Playstation 3 system valued at $400 sold for only $15, and think, “how in the world, is this auction site making a profit”? The system works because the people who do not win the auction, the ones bidding against the winner are making up for the difference. Take for instance a penny auction with bid increments of a cent, which charges bidders $1 per bid. Now if that Playstation 3 gets a final bid of $15, the auctioner would have made 1500 X $1 = $1500.00 for that $400 Playstation. That’s quite a hefty profit. Having said this, if you use the proper strategies, you can really walk away with some amazing deals, at prices you would have never dreamed about.

Is Entertainment Shopping Auctions Legal?
Despite the sort of gambling nature of the set-up, these sites have not been deemed illegal in the United States. In our investigation we spoke to several attorneys who all stated that the system is currently legal as far as they can tell. Of course laws may eventually be changed and such sites considered a gamble. However, due to the nature of knowing the actual value of the item, as well as not being a game of chance but instead a bidding war, theses auctions should not run into any legal issues any time soon. As long as the sites clearly show the bidders how things work, than there really is no legal or moral issues that I see unfit for society.

What Kind of items Do these Entertainment Shopping Sites Usually Sell?
Sites like BidFight.com, Swoopo, and others have all kinds of items. Most are valued at between $50 and $3500, and range from products like iPods, LCD Tv’s, Apple iMacs, Video Games, Bid vouchers, Bluray Players, Cell Phones, Video Game Systems, Home Theaters, Laptops, Netbooks, and Even Cash.

Is Entertainment Shopping Worth it in General?
This is a tough question. If you employ a solid strategy and have an idea where past auctions ended, don’t obsessively fall in love with any one auction, and earn free bids by referring your friends, absolutely they can be worth it. Just don’t go overboard.
