If Homer Simpson was a real person, then today, no doubt, would be his favorite day of the year. Today Friday June 6th 2008, is National Doughnut Day in America. I love doughnuts probably just as much as Homer does, but unlike Homer I am health conscience. Having said this I will no doubt be eating a few of the treats today wither from Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme.
Because it’s a National Holiday for Doughnuts, Krispy Kreme will be giving away thousands of free doughnuts in most of their stores nation wide. Dunkin Donuts, as far as we know did not annoucne such a plan. Also, if you are lucky to be traveling by Air, with Southwest Airlines today, then you are in for a huge treat. The Airline will be serving free doughnuts as well on all flights nation wide. This is quite a treat considering all other food now-a-days costs extra on most flights.
