If the losses of over $50 billion was not enough to make Madoff look like some kind of scheming monster, then this surely will. Reports say that Mr. Thierry Magon de La Villehuchet had invested as the founder and Co-chairman of Access International Advisors in excess of $1.4 billion into Madoffs $50 billion ponzi scheme.
Today, December 23rd, 2008, at approximately 7:30 am Police were called to his Madison Avenue office in New York City, New York, where they found him dead, in what looked like an apparent suicide. Thierry Magon de La Villehuchet was 65 years of age. What a tragedy only two days before Christmas.
Access International last week called Madoff’s arrest “shocking” in a note to their many investors. Investors in the fund included a unit of Rothschild and several clients of the Swiss bank UBS.
