Cell phones were always seen as a tool, but now they are becoming fashion items and status symbols. Armani, Gabbana, and Prada all have their own lines of cell phones. Next to enter the market is Christian Dior. Below is a picture of the new Dior Phone, which company executives say will have crystals and diamonds among the other pricey material on them. Initially the phone will be available in Russia and China. The reason for this, according to Dior Chief Executive Sidney Toledano, is there’s a larger demand for luxury goods in these countries.
The phone will come in 3 different color options, which are Pink, Red, and white, and will carry a hefty price tag of $5000.00. For this price you will get a normal sized phone as well as a tiny second handset that easily clips onto a handbag. Obviously these phone are being marketed mainly to women.
