Today we had over a dozen emails from readers asking us what the infamous symbol listed as the top searched keyword in web search trends was. The symbol is as follows: ✈ ▌▌
It looks like an airplane with 2 twin towers which is extremely odd. We have tried to find the source of why “✈ ▌▌” is being searched and where it originates, however we have not had any luck. We therefore are asking anyone with information about this infamous symbol to reply to this post. Why is ✈ ▌▌ being searched for and what exactly is it? We will add to this post once we find out more details. Thus far our best guess is 911 related.
I’ve got the unpleasant feeling that some idiots thought it would be funny to use bots to search for these characters and thus get on the front of Google trends. If this is the case, shame on them.

It started from ebaums. Someone thought it would be funny to keep entering it in Google to put it in the top trends. Sick joke, if you ask me!
