We have unconfirmed reports just coming in this morning that John McCain will choose Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin to fill the opened Vice President spot on his ticket for 2008. Fox News this morning reported that Sarah Palin and her family were rushed onto a Gulf stream Jet in Anchorage Alaska, which has a destination, of you guessed it….. Dayton Ohio, where John McCain plans on making his Vice President announcement later today.
The Choice of Governor Palin could really help McCain, some experts feel. The die hard Hillary Clinton supporters who are lookign for the first female President in Hillary, may just settle for changing their party and voting for McCain. It is said that McCain will probably only be a 1 term, 4 year, President, which means as long as he does a fairly good job, his Vice President will have a fairly good shot at the nomination in 4 years. Sarah Palin could be the person.

As Governor of Akaska Sarah has been extremely popular. She won the 2006 Republican primaries by 21% over her opponents, and won the Governors position by 8% in 2006. Governor Sarah Palin is only 44 years old, and graduated from the University of Idaho in Journalism. A poll published by Hays Research Inc in July of this year showed that Palin;’s approval rating was an amazing 80%. If this isn’t enough to open your eyes about her popularity in Alaska, then the 90% approval ratings earlier in the year surely will.
Any way you stack this election, it should be a tight race, and one of the most interesting elections the United States has ever seen. An African American vs a 72 Year old man with a 44 Year old VP.

It sure looks like we are off to the races in this 2008 Hurricane Season. The peak of the season isn’t for another 2 weeks (September 10th), however someone forgot to tell Mother Nature that. By tomorrow afternoon it is very possible that we could have 2 Hurricanes within 1000 miles of the US coast. This morning at 11am The National Hurricane center in Miami Florida issued a statement making Tropical Depression 8, Tropical Storm Hannah. Note the title of this post because we are 95% confident this storm will be upgraded to Hurricane Hannah within 48 hours. It will be traversing over extremely warm waters with relatively low sheer over the next several days.
Currently almost all the models have Hurricane Hannah moving eventually southwest, then west towards Florida for the end of next week. The Graphic of the 5 day National Hurricane Center projected path is below, and it will continue to be updated at our blog every 3 hours as the projected track of Hannah changes.

Understand that this storm is probably 8-9 days away from affecting the mainland of the United states, if it does at all, thus you have plenty of time to make those last minute preparations like filling up your gas tank, stocking up on water and granola bars, and making sure your residence is secure for whatever Hurricane Hannah may bring you. We had a lot of questions this morning as to the how fast Hannah will develop, as well as the projected path and intensity of landfall. Of course we are much too far away from any US impact, thus we can not give reliable data here. A Category 2 or 3 Hurricane is however possible according to the NHC. Remember that The US will likely have to deal with Hurricane / Tropical Storm Gustav before we deal with Hannah. For the projected track of Gustav check out: Gustav Projected Track
As with all Tropical Storms, stay tuned to the local media coverage and always prepare for the worse and hope for the best. I have a feeling that this is just the beginning of what will turn out to be an extremely active Hurricane season for us all in the GULF and Southeast Cast of the United States.

Only in August and we already have our seventh named Atlantic Hurricane Season storm. The latest i Hurricane Gustav. Gustav suddenly developed just north of South America, yesterday, and is projected to intensify quite a bit over the next several days, leading up to the Labor day weekend. All eyes along the Gulf coast of the US should remain on Gustav, as it has the potential of being an incredibly dangerous Hurricane. Now, what is Hurricane Gustav’s Projected path?
Although the computer models remain all over the place this morning, the National Hurricane Center out of Miami Florida has issued the following graphic as their projected path:

Note that one should not follow the line, but instead the entire cone. As most of you know Hurricane projection is extremely difficult and sometimes inaccurate. Anywhere from The Yucatan Peninsula to the West Coast of Florida should remain on guard. Hurricane Gustav looks like a possible Major Hurricane which may make landfall sometime early to midweek next week.
The Current Projected track has it coming onshore around the New Orleans area, which certainly would be a nightmare, as well as ironic considering we are just 4 days away from the 3 year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina’s landfall. Of course we are close to a week away from any US landfall most likely, so that track is bound to change time and time again. Currently Gustav poses a significant threat to the countries of Haiti, Cuba, and Jamaica. Stay tuned to our site as well as the National Hurricane Centers site for updates throughout the week. Have a safe week, and don’t let your guard down if you are in the current cones from the NHC’s projected path.

August 28th Gustav Update:
Just wanted to give a quick update. As of noon today there have been 51 reported deaths, all in Haiti from Tropical Storm Gustav. The National Hurricane Center is now calling for a Category 3 Hurricane to hit the middle Gulf coast sometime Tuesday. The projected path currently takes it just west of New Orleans. I will have further updates as they come. The 3 Day cone about from the NHC’s track will be updated every 3 hours with the latest track and information.

Alright already! This morning I had 129 emails in my profilesblog account asking me if I know if the rumor that Dolly Parton is Dead is true or false. Alarmed by the thought since my mother is a huge Dolly Parton fan, I quickly got our investigation team on the topic. Here is what I have found out.
At approximately 10:30 Pm Fox News ran a story that there were unconfirmed reports that the famed country singer had passed away at age 62 from congestive heart failure. The first this I did after hearing this is investigate whether or not Ms. Parton had a history of heart ailments. I couldn’t find anything solid that pointed to past heart/cardiovascular health ailments that Dolly had suffered from in the past. Good news #1
Next I quickly looked for statements from Dolly Partons publicists. To my relief I found a statement recently issued by Pete Owens, her publicist stating that Dolly is not dead, and there will be no official statement made by Ms, Parton on the rumors. It is believed that at a football game at some Tennessee high school, the announcer had stated that Dolly Parton had passed away from congestive heart failure. No further information is known as to which high school stated this or why it was stated.

I can thus concluded with 99% certainty that Dolly Parton is not dead, but in fact is live and well and continues to brighten the spirits of her fans worldwide.

There have been rumors over the last week, the the American Gold Medal Swimmer and now Playboy Model Amanda Beard is in a romantic relationship with the almost God-like American Swimmer, Michael Phelps. After Breaking Mark Spitz’s Olympic record of 7 gold medals in one Olympic games, by getting 8 Gold Medals, Phelps has been in the spotlight certainly.
Pictured Below, both Swimmers in this Olympic photo, far left:

So, Are Amanda Beard and Michael Phelps a couple? Why don;t we just ask Beard herself, who had some less then flattering remarks about Phelps Yesterday afternoon when questioned about the possibility of a romantic relationship between the two. When Amanda was questioned about the rumored romance in a phone interview with a Tucson radio station she responded, “Eww, that’s nasty!” Beard continued, “Come on, I have really good taste. He’s not really my type. We don’t even talk to each other.”
When Phelps was questions about being involved with Ms. Beard, he responded, “I’m not dating Amanda Beard. I’ll say that. I think she has a boyfriend.” In fact She does have a boyfriend, a photographer who she has been with for quite some time now.
Well I guess we can put the hopes of a genetically superior offspring from two of American;s all time great swimmers being created. One has to wonder what that genetic combination would have produced. Good news though for Michael Phelps….. Carrie Underwood is supposedly interested, and I’m sure just about every girl in America is to some degree.

Sadly it seems as though every time you turn the news on you hear about another School Shooting. Today there has been a Knoxville school shooting at around 8 am local time. Authorities say that shortly after the school day began at Central High School in Knoxville Tennessee, a student pulled out a gun and shot a fellow 16 year old student in the cafeteria. The 16 year old tragically passed away later at the University of Tennessee Medical Center from the gunshot wound.
Authorities say that the shooter knew the victim and this was not a random act of violence. Police Officer Darryl DeBusk says police took a suspect into custody approximately six minutes after the shooting near the school and recovered the gun.
The Knoxville High school has over 1400 students, and the last we heard was locked down. Authorities were planning on releasing one classroom at a time following the shooting, and then busing the students to a nearby Knoxville church where parents can pick them up. No names have been released of the gunman or the victim. Names will probably be released sometime this afternoon at the latest. We can only pray for the family of the victim, and be thankful that no one else was injured in this once again senseless act of violence in a school.

The September 2008 Issue of German Playboy will be graced by the 4 German Olympic athletes listed and displayed in Photos below:
The German Olympians:,
* Petra Niemann, is competing at her third games in sailing.
* Katharina Scholz is an Olympic field hockey competitor, and quite good at the sport.
* Nicole Reinhardt is competing in canoe/kayak and
* Romy Tarangul the German Judo Athlete
The athletes all stated that they are proud to be Olympians as well as proud to have the freedom to flaunt their bodies which they worked hard for for such a famous magazine like Playboy. Reinhardt will even be wearing her Lycra racing suit she wore for all her kayak races. “There’s attention, but it’s good,” she said. “It’s good for us.” Reinhardt rested her kayak paddle against her left shoulder while she spoke. “You’ll have to buy the magazine or surf the Web to find out where she strategically placed it for Playboy.”
The Germans will not be the first Olympic athletes to appear in Playboy. In fact, American Swimmer Amanda Beard graced the pages of the magazine a year ago before the Olympics as a way to promote anti-animal cruelty.
Photo’s are below:

Over the last month we have received over 1800 emails from online entrepreneurs looking to see if Bux.to, also known as Bux is a legitimate paid to click program. After searching the internet for bux.to and also reading the various forums related to the Bux program, we have concluded that the program itself is in fact legitimate, at least on the surface.

Below we have provided you all with links to all the information you need to do the proper due diligence on Bux.to.
Bux.to Forums:
*Bux MMG Forum
*Bux.to Talkgold Forum
*Buxbb
How Bux.to works
The Program works by rewarding it’s members for clicking advertisements on its site. The real money comes however by the power of referrals. If you can convince others to join using your referral link then you will share in their profits as well as their referral’s profits. One will earn 1 cent for every website they click an ad for and stay at for 30 seconds, as well as 1 cents for all their referrals who do the same. Here is a simply list of the earning potential:
Earnings Sample
*You click 10 ads per day = $0.10
* 100 referrals click 10 ads each per day = $10.00
* Daily earnings = $10.10
* Weekly earnings = $70.70
* Monthly earnings = $282.80
As you can see the earning potential is there only if you manage to find people to sign up to the program for you. One must always remember to explain Bux.to to their potential referrals before referring them, so that they fully understand how the program works, and what it takes for them to earn a good profit from it. Even refer them to this post if you need be so that they can get the advice you need. We also recommend the Talkgold and MoneyMakergroup posts for this program over the Buxbb forum because those forums will not be censored unlike reports that the buxbb forum has been.

As most of you guys know, the National Hurricane Center in Miami Florida is pretty much where everyone in Florida is turning today for the updated forecasts on Tropical Storm Fay. There is a slight problem though. As of 3 hours ago we began getting email reports from various Florida residents about the National Hurricane Center’s websites NHC.Noaa.gov not loading.
At first many individuals thought, “oh, since Tropical storm Fay is so close to Miami, maybe the site is being affected from power outages or such.” The problem here is that the servers running the site are not located in Miami, and the winds are only very moderate outside of Miami thus far. No reports of power outages as of yet anywhere on the East coast of Florida.
The problem is simple. The National Hurricane center’s servers are being overloaded. Strange since you would think a national government run organization would make sure they are able to maintain a site uptime at the most important times for viewers. We are happy to report that the downtime is only sporadic and is mostly just server slowdown rather then being completely down. If the site is down, then turn on your local news stations for the updates from the Hurricane center.

Stay tuned to Profiles blog for the latest on Tropical Storm fay, and all the updated graphics and predictions out of the national hurricane center. As with all storms, follow the local news stations advice carefully., and never underestimate the power of even a tropical storm should Fay not increase it’s stength too much over the next 20 hours before landfall prediction

Tropical Storm Fay, likely to become Hurricane Fay before landfall is expected to come onshore sometime tomorrow morning somewhere between Naples Florida, and Punta Gorda Florida, with the Fort Myers / Cape Coral Area currently in the middle of the National Hurricane Centers middle point.
Hurricane Fay is predicted to be a minimum hurricane with wind speeds at approximately 80 miles per hour with gusts up to 105 miles per hour. The projected path as of 11am Eastern standard time form the National Hurricane Center is below. Notice the expanse of the cone, as the exact landfall position is not certain and the storm is projected to follow a path within the cone.
The strength of the storm is dependent on the forward speed as well as any shear in the upper atmosphere. Right now a 80 mile per hour sustained wind for Fay seems likely. Stay turned to the Hurricane center as well as this blog for any further updates. Please be careful everyone, especially Our Viewers from SouthWest Florida and the Keys.
