Dave Van Dyck of CNBC Dies
It saddens us to tell you all we lost another smart and hard working American much too early. Dave Van Dyck, a long-time director at the business news channel, CNBC passed away from cancer Friday after a long brave battle. Van Dyck was only 39 years old sadly. Dave directed “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch” and the more recent show “The Call.” Colleagues at CNBC and friends who knew him well describe him as a very hard worker who cared about all technical aspects. One colleague wrote the following: “Most of all he had great respect for the techs working with him. He will be missed.”
