Today at 10am PT, or 1pm EST Apple will be giving us all several important announcements. What Are they? No one can be 100% certain. Most speculate that Apple will announce a new iPhone, iPhone 2.0. The new Phone will be very similar to the first iPhone, however put to use 3G internet. Most users complain that AT&T’s Edge network is too slow for good internet use on the phone. A 3G upgrade will give the iPhone broadband like speeds.
Other experts speculate that the price of the iPhone may be reduced today at the WWDC. Apples CEO, Steve Jobs always, has a surprise or two up his sleeve when it comes to pricing. Many speculate that the phone price may be reduced as low as $199, or $299. We will have to wait an see for sure. One thing we know for sure is that the buzz leading up to the WWDC key note speech by Jobs is sure to keep us all guessing up to the very last minute. A $199 price tag is sure to bring in a ton of new subscribers worldwide, especially those who could not rationalize spending $400 for a cell phone. It should also be intresting to see if Apple has any changes in store for its iPod touch or Mac Computers, and if the iPhone will have built in GPS.
