John McCain this evening, before the acceptance speech by Obama, had a speech himself where he sets the stage for what ensures to be a battle of the ages in politics. The 2008 Presidential competition in my opinion will be one of the better fights we have seen in decades. McCain seems to have adopted a new slogan in a banner that was seen behind him at his recent speech today in New Orleans. What is that slogan? “A leader we can believe in“.
So what does “A leader we can believe in” mean? McCain is basically saying that Obama is lying about his ability to make the changes he has so readily been promoting in most of his speeches. Afterall Obama’s slogan is “We are ready for Change”. McCain doesn’t think Americans should believe Obama, and instead shift their focus toward him, a respected ex-pow who has experience and a political knowledge likely greater then Obama.
Now here is my opinion feel free to leave feedback….
I think that Both Obama and McCain are two of the best choices we have had in a presidential race in at least the last 25 years. Both candidates are “Leaders to believe in,” and both seem to be straight talkers who honestly do have America at heart. I am proud to be an American with the choice of two great men at hand.
