I have been following this company for some time now. The name is Aptera, and they are making a Hybrid car called the Aptera Typ-1 which will achieve 300 mpg (Miles per gallon). Aptera is based out of San Diego California and has some big names working for them. The car is truly revolutionary, not only in the 300 mph it will achieve, but also the incredible aerodynamic design.
The Aptera Typ-1 will go on sale sale time at the end of 2008 according to our sources. If you are a California resident, the state in which this car will first be sold in due to the relaxed regulation in the state, you can pre-order one of these 300 mpg vehicles for a $500 down payment. The car will only cost approximately $30,000, which in my opinion is quite cheap considering the prices of competitors like Tesla who is charging close to $100,000 for their vehicle.
