This is just a really incredible story that is getting a lot of attention recently although its years old, because of the Pig being featured on the History channels Monster Mayhem today. Back on June 17, 2004 a man named Chris Griffin was hunting and got himself a monster pig, today known as Hogzilla. Word of the catch quickly spread around the internet and TV. At first most people though it was a hoax, however the monster pig actually did exist. Initially when caught the Pig was said to weigh 1000 pounds and be close to 12 feet long. It was never scientifically studied or confirmed until 2007 when a team of scientist from National Geographic exhumed the body and found that it actually did weigh 800 pounds and was over 8 feet in length.
The publicity of this catch even convinced movie makers to create their own movie about Hogzilla. In 2007 independent film company Lithium Productions announced plans to make a movie about Hogzilla, titled The Legend of Hogzilla, enlisting Chris Griffin to help create the film.
