The Mixed Heritage Center

With the Presidential election upon us, and Barrack Obama leading the way, seemingly on a non-stop track to the White house, America’s diversity has been a major topic recently. I was browsing the web and came across the Mixed Heritage Center. Mixed Hertage Center was founded by a man named Louie Gong. It’s purpose is to provide a “clearinghouse of information relevant to the lives of people who are multiracial, multiethnic, transracially adopted, or otherwise affected by the intersection of race and culture. It is an “organic” resource that will grow and change with contributions from people like you.”

The project is funded by The K&F Baxter Family Foundation, and in my opinion offers a great deal of information to those Americans looking for resources about heritage, race, ethnicity and differences in American Culture. Gong Himself believes we he is on the leading edge of the modern multiracial movement. More information on this movement and the organization called the Mixed Heritage center can be easily found at mixedheritagecenter.org
