President Bush Chest Bump
Well, you can say what you want about President Bush’s foreign policies, and other mistakes of his administration, but this picture is a great one. Bush chest bumps a cadet at the Air Forces graduation ceremony in Colorado Springs, Colorado Yesterday May 28th. The President completely shocked onlookers and fellow cadets when he decided to give one soldier, Theodore Shiveley from Plano, Texas, the a pretty crazy salute, a ‘chest bump’.

I graduated with Teddy. And I’ll speak for the both of us (and all the Army guys that would be offended): we’re not soldiers, we’re airmen.

I was a guest at the graduation … President Bush, commander-in-chief, SALUTED each graduate and then gave a personal greeting. IT WAS TERRIFIC. There were over 1000 graduates and the last name called got the same warm greeting as the first. This was a celebration - President Bush CELEBRATED with each graduate- he spoke on cell phones, signed a hat, posed and generally was a warm friendly commander celebrating with his troops for a job well done.
It was not a day for politics, positions, nor statements. It was a day of pride and celebration. And, no matter what your politics, you should be able to appreciate that a graduations ceremony is a CELEBRATION –It had the necessary pomp - but it was also FUN — CONGRATULATIONS USAFA CLASS OF 2008!!!
