Today on CNN this discovery of an old Basbeall board game from 1893, in a storage space at the Bingham-Waggoner Estate was announced. Sure there are other 115 year old board games in existence, however what makes this one different is that it was probably not even touched in 115 years. It was in mint condition.
The games name is: Zimmer’s Baseball Game. There are only 9-10 games known to still exist, and none are even close to the pristine condition of this one. The owner, Schrieber said the game was likely bought by the mansion’s patriarch, William Wagonner, for his 6 year old son born in 1887. Schrieber is estimated to be able to sell the century old game for close to $30,000, however currently he claims he will not be selling.
